for sale by Bob Adamek on GunsAmerica - 963141954 This fine engraved -pinfire revolver is very similar to the French Lefaucheux Patent Model 1862 pinfire revolver. This revolver is unmarked with the exception of London crown over V black powder proof marks on the barrel and cylinder. It was most likely made in France or Belgium and exported to England. The overall length is approx. 11.5".

These revolvers were made from 1861 to 1865 by William P. Uhlinger of Philadelphia. Most were unmarked except for the serial number because the revolver was an infringement on a Smith & Wesson patent. This particular example is marked. Several different versions of this revolver were produced in.32,.22 and long cylinder.22.

The top of the barrel is marked “J.P. Lower,” a very well known arms dealer in Denver, Colorado.
